Panadol Extra is suitable for customers who want the benefits of Panadol, plus a little more pain relieving power from strong pain such as tension headaches, bad backaches and period pain. Data shows that this dual-action formulation has up to 37% more pain-relieving power than standard Panadol. Despite this extra effect, it remains gentle on stomach.
Indications: Gentle relief from strong pain and discomfort associated with headaches (including migrains), body aches, muscular aches and pains, cold and flu symptoms, joint pain/osteoarthritis, period pain, toothaches and sore throat.
Dosage and Directions For Use:
- Adults (including the elderly) and children 12 years and above: 1-2 caplets to be taken every 4-6 hours as required. Maximum daily dose: 8 caplets (4000mg Paracetamol/ 520mg Caffeine).
- Do not give to children under the age of 12 years.
- Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Maximum duration of continued use without medical advice: 3 days.
Cautions:
- Not recommended for children under the age of 12 years.
- Do not use if you are is allergic to paracetamol and/or caffeine.
- Allergy alert: Paracetamol may cause severe skin reactions. Symptoms may include skin reddening, blisters and rash. If these reactions occur, stop use and seek medical assistance right away.
- Do not use this medicine if you are taking any other prescription or non-prescription medicines containing paracetamol to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, or to aid sleep.
- Do not take any other paracetamol-containing medicines at the same time.
- Avoid other caffeine-containing products. Too much caffeine may cause rapid heart rate, nervousness or sleeplessness.
