Fluimucil A is suitable for children (2 years old and above) who have cough with excessive phlegm associated with any respiratory tract diseases. Fluimucil clears phlegm and strengthens lung functions due to its antioxidant properties. Fluimucil A contains the active ingredient - Acetylcysteine. Acetylcysteine belongs to a group of medicines called mucolytics which work by thinning the mucus (phlegm) so that it can be coughed up more easily.
Fluimucil 100mg/5mL oral solution is in the form of clear or slightly opalescent, colourless solution with a characteristic odour of raspberry. Each bottle contains 100mL oral solution.
Dosage and Directions For Use:
- Children 2 -12 years: 5mL 3 times daily or 10mL twice daily.
- Children over 12 years: 10mL 3 times daily or 30mL once daily.
- Adults: 10mL 3 times daily or 30mL once daily.
Cautions:
- Patients suffering from bronchial asthma must be strictly controlled during the therapy. Should bronchospasm occurs, the treatment must stop immediately.
- Caution should be taken in patients suffering from or with a history of peptic ulcer.
- It is preferable not to mix other medications with the Fluimucil A solution.
- Fluimucil A should not be used during breastfeeding, unless clearly necessary.
- Do not use in children under 2 years of age.
- Store below 30°C, prevent from heat and humidity.
