Indications:

• For the prevention and treatment of folate deficiency states.
• For the prevention of neural tube defect in the foetus.

Dosage and Directions For Use:

• Adults: Initial dose, take 2 to 4 tablets daily. Maintenance dose, take 1/2 to 2 tablets daily.
• Pregnant women: Take 1 tablet daily starting before pregnancy and continuing for the first 3 months.
• Children up to 1 year old: Doctor will advice on the dose based on body weight.
• Children 1 to 5 years: 1/2 a tablet daily.
• Children 6 to 12 years: 1 tablet daily.
• Swallow the whole tablet with water.
• Hovid-Folic Acid Tablet can be taken with or without food.
• The dose will be dependent on the condition being treated and may vary. Follow all directions given to you by your doctor and pharmacist carefully.

Active ingredient:
Folic Acid 5mg.

Cautions:

• You should not take folic acid without speaking to a doctor or pharmacist if you are sensitive/allergic to folic acid or any other ingredients in these tablets and/or suffering from Vitamin B12 deficiency including pernicious anaemia (low red blood cell count related to low vitamin B12 levels).
