Indication: For the relief of fever, aches and pain of flu, discomfort of teething, toothache and fever after vaccination.
Paracetamol in Panadol Children Suspension 120mg/5mL works to stop the pain message from getting through the brain. Paracetamol also works in the brain to reduce fever.
Dosage and Directions For Use:
- For an accurate dosing, weigh your child and work out the dosage based on a 15mg of Paracetamol for every kg body weight (15mg/kg).
- Body weight 4-5kg: 2.5mL.
- Body weight 6-7kg: 3.5mL.
- Body weight 8-9kg: 5mL.
- Body weight 10-11kg: 6mL.
- Minimum dosing interval: 4 hours.
- Maximum daily dose: 60mg/kg to be administered in divided doses of 10-15mg/kg thoughout the 24 hour period.
- Do not take more than 4 doses in 24 hour period.
- Use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
Cautions:
- Do not use if your child is allergic to paracetamol.
- Allergy alert: Paracetamol may cause severe skin reactions. Symptoms may include skin reddening, blisters and rash. If these reactions occur, stop use and seek medical assistance right away.
- Do not use this medicine if your child is taking any other prescription or non-prescription medicines containing paracetamol to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, or to aid sleep.
- Do not take any other paracetamol-containing medicines at the same time.
