Indications:
- Constipation
- Hepatic encephalopathy
Directions for use:
Constipation:
- Adults and adolescents: Starting dose is 15-45mL per day, in a single or two divided doses. This dose can later be adjusted to 15-30mL per day, in a single or two divided doses.
- Children 7-14 years: Starting dose is 15mL per day, in a single or two divided doses. This dose can later be adjusted to 10-15mL per day, in a single or two divided doses.
- Children 1-6 years: The usual dose is 5-10mL per day.
- Infants under 1 year: The usual dose is up to 5mL per day.
Ingredients:
Lactulose 3.35g/5mL
Do not take if:
- You are allergic to lactose or any of the other ingredients of UNILAC.
- You have symptoms of stomach ache, vomiting and fever. This might be a sign of a serious disorder, e.g. bowel obstruction (ileus) or gastrointestinal inflammation. If you are experiencing such symptoms, you should consult a doctor immediately.
- You are suffering from a very rare condition called galactose intolerance, you must not use UNILAC because due to the manufacturing process, UNILAC contains small amounts of galactose.
