Optive Fusion is used for the temporary relief of burning, irritation, and discomfort due to dryness of the eye or exposure to wind or sun, and may be used as a protectant against further irritation. Optive Fusion hydrates the surface of the eyes for relief of the symptoms of dryness, stinging, grittiness, or foreign body sensation caused by environmental factors. Optive Fusion also provides relief of eye discomfort and vissual symptoms caused by reduced blink frequency due to prolonged television watching or concentrated computer screen work.
Optive Fusion is compatible with contact lenses. Optive Fusion are indicated to lbricate and rewet soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses, to help relieve dryness, discomfort, and irritation that may be associated with lens wear and to cushion lenses by placing a drop on the lens before insertion on the eye.
Dosage and Directions For Use:
- Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) as needed. Can be used as often as needed.
- If Optive Fusion is used to lubricate and rewet contact lenses, apply 1-2 drops to each eye as needed with the contact lens on the eye. If desired, 1 or 2 drops may be placed on the contact lens before insertion.
- Concomitant ocular medications should be administered at least 5 minutes apart from the instilation of Optive Fusion to avoid washout effects.

- Carboxymethylcellulose sodium 0.5%
- Glycerin 0.9%
- Sodium Hyaluronate 0.1%
- Erythritol
- Boric acid
- Sodium borate decahydrate
- Sodium citrate dihydrate
- Potassium chloride
- Calcium chloride dihydrate
- Magnesium chloride hexahydrate
- Purified water
- Preservative: Stabilized oxychloro complex (PURITE)
Cautions:
- To avoid contamination or possible eye injury, do not touch tip of the vial to any surface and avoid contact with the eye.
- Do not use if Optive Fusion packaging shows evidence of tampering.
- Contents are sterile if imprinted seal around cap is intact.
- Do not use if solution changes colour or becomes cloudy.
- Discontinue use of Optive Fusion and consult a doctor if the patient experiences eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the conditions worse.
- Discard 3 months after opening. Optive Fusion bottle should be kept tightly closed when not in use.
