Panadol Extend is a patented bi-layer caplet incorporating an immediate-release and a sustained-release dose to help manage osteoarthritis. Each dose lasts up to 8 hours, just 3 daily doses may provide up to 24-hour relief from pain.
Indications: Relief from muscle and joint pain, including osteoarthritis pain.
Dosage and Directions For Use:
- Adults (including the elderly) and children 12 years and above: 2 caplets to be taken every 3 times daily, every 6-8 hours when necessary. Maximum daily dose: 6 caplets in 24 hours.
- Do not give to children under the age of 12 years.
- Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.
- Do not exceed the stated dose.
- Use as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
- Maximum duration of continued use without medical advice: 3 days.
Cautions:
- Not recommended for children under 12 years.
- Do not use if you are is allergic to paracetamol.
- Allergy alert: Paracetamol may cause severe skin reactions. Symptoms may include skin reddening, blisters and rash. If these reactions occur, stop use and seek medical assistance right away.
- Do not use this medicine if you are taking any other prescription or non-prescription medicines containing paracetamol to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, or to aid sleep.
- Do not take any other paracetamol-containing medicines at the same time.
- If symptoms persist for more than 3 days, please see your doctor.
- Do not take Panadol Extend Caplet if you are pregnant and breastfeeding.
