Tolnaderm (Solubilised Tolnaftate 1% ) Cream 15g - For Fungal Infections of the Skin

Tolnaderm cream is used to treat fungal skin infections such as ringworm of the face and neck and body, fungal infection on the hands, athlete's foot and jock itch. It is also indicated in tinea infections of the skin especially the non-hairy areas of the body and including the groin. The vanishing cream base makes it cosmetically acceptable and there is no staining of the skin or clothing from the preparation. Tolnaftate preparations are not suitable for deep infections of the nailbed and hair follicles but may be applied concomitantly with another medicine. 

Dosage and Directions For Use:

• Before use, pierce the tube seal by inverting the cap over the end of the tube and press. 
• Wash and dry infected area. 
• Apply small amount of cream and spread evenly on infected area 2 or 3 times daily for 2-3 weeks or 4-6 weeks if thickening of the skin has occurred. 
• The treatment should be continued for 2-3 weeks after the disappearance of all signs of infection to prevent re-infection. 
• The itching should improve within 1-3 days of treatment although other signs and symptoms may take longer to disappear. 
• Consult doctor if no improvement is seen in 4 weeks (athlete's foot) or 2 weeks (jock itch). 
• Always wash your hands after treating the infection to prevent it from spreading. 

Active Ingredient: Tolnaftate 1% w/w.

Cautions:

• Do not use this medicine to children under 2 years of age. 
• Attention to hygiene is important in the management of fungal infections particularly to all the folds and creases. 
• For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. 
• Do not put the cream in your mouth or swallow it. 
• Store below 30ºC. 
• Keep in a cool dry place, protected from light. 
• Keep out of reach of children.
