Albendazole is a benzimidazole carbamate with antiprotozoal and antihelmintic effects against intestinal and tissue parasites. Albendazole exhibits larvicidal, ovicidal and vermicidal activity, and is thought to exert its antihelmintic effect by inhibiting tubulin polymerization. This causes the disruption of the helminth metabolism, including energy depletion, which immobilizes and kills the susceptible helminth.

Indication: Infestations of all common worms (roundworm, whipworm, hookworm, pinworm, threadworm, tapeworm).

Dosage and Directions For Use:

• To be taken with food. 
• Zentel tablets are chewable and can also be crushed and mixed with food.
• Do not exceed the maximum daily doses and treatment durations recommended.

For roundworm, whipworm, hookworm and pinworm:

• Adults and children above 2 years: Take 2 tablets (400mg) as a single dose.
• Children 12-24 months: Take 1 tablet (200mg) as a single dose.

For threadworm and tapeworm:

• Adults and children above 2 years: Take 2 tablets (400mg) as a single dose once a day for 3 consecutive days.
• Children 12-24 months: Take 1 tablet (200mg) as a single dose once a day for 3 consecutive days.

Ingredient: Albendazole 200mg.

Cautions:

• Not to be used in children aged under 1 year.
• Do not take Zentel tablet during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• Women of childbearing age should initiate treatment during first week of menstruation or immediately after negative pregnancy test. 
• Keep out of reach and sight of children.
• Store below 30°C.
